LONDON ROAD, BRIGHTON

London Road is less well than other Brighton sites such as the West Pier, Royal Pavilion, North Laine, The Lanes as well as many impressive Regency buildings.

However, to the surprise of some, London Road was ranked 4th in the 2025 TimeOut awards for UK ‘cool neighbourhoods’. This reflects the dynamic, multicultural vibe with a range of restaurants, bars and food outlets as well as the well established Open Market. Local residents, citywide shoppers and students all contribute to the community.

Alongside these successes, urban pressures and inequality continue to feature and hopefully the combination of images provides a meaningful picture.
